The ambince at Biryani Palace

BIRYANI PALACE , Anjuna.

During one one of those ‘Drive-around-aimlessly’ nights, we found this restaurant ‘Biryani Palace’ at Anjuna. Their speciality is Kebabs and as the name suggests, Biryani.

The bach side restraunt is a perfect location for a calm evening dine out.A nice experience of having dinner on sand.

Ambience:

Once you enter, you will see a large (fake) snake plunged to a tree which is surrounded by tables and a small bar. To make it even more exotic, the floor is just beach sand and waves sound just behind.

The kebabs here are made in a big charcoal oven outside the kitchen.

These guys have really fast cooks : your orders come in a few minutes !

Starters:

There wasn’t anything exotic to try in starters, and we just ordered the finger chips.  They were great.

Kebabs:

paneer kebab You can see the cook hooking up all the pieces to the grill stick and then grilling it in the oven. They are then served to you right out of the oven, steaming hot.

The one shown at the left is a paneer kebab, in which you get spicy grilled pieces of paneer with green chutney and some biryani. It tastes really good.

The Platter

The platter is a Combo of Biryani,  french fies, Naan and a kebab with different pieces like mushrooms, paneer, tomato, flower, etc.

The platter is a big dish, good enough for 3 people. But once you are done with it, you’ll wish it was bigger.

Biryani

This restaurant has  agreat choice of Biryanees too. We tried the regular biryani made extra spicy as per order. It was absolutely perfect. The  flavour, colour, and the aroma were all flawless.

Rating

Biryani Palace gets 3 cheese cubes for it’s unique ambiance and fast service, and ‘Value for money’ gets 2.5 . You can have filling group dinner with Rs.150 per person, cold drinks included.

The bottom line is, when you go to Anjuna, don’t forget to try some kebabs and birayni at the ‘Biryani Palace’ !
